GESPOS Portal - IST
GESPOS (Gestione Sondaggi, Pozzi e Sorgenti) is a database managed by the Institute of Earth Sciences containing soundings, wells and springs on the territory of Ticino. The maps of water protection sectors and zones, approved by the State Council on 18 February 2003 or updated following a hydrogeological study, can also be viewed on this portal.
The GESPOS portal contains the measurements carried out by the Institute of Earth Sciences as part of the continuous monitoring of the groundwater levels of the main aquifers in the Canton Ticino. These data are then used to create a model of the average annual piezometric level of these aquifers, which is also published on the portal.
